Radio Archive
For
your convenience, shows are pre-recorded.
Then we archive shows below.
Listen anytime "on demand."
Technical Info: You do not need
a special player to listen. We provide a
temporary player each time you play a show. Your
connection speed matters. High bandwidth (fast)
connections are suggested, but not required. Dial-up users please be
patient while the player and your show loads! Your Internet Explorer,
Firefox
or other browser MUST be JAVA-ENABLED. If your
security blocks JAVA you must unblock it to listen. To listen to a show
review the guest information and links below. Click
the PLAY link for
the show of your interest. Next, the player will load. Be
patient. You control playback
using buttons on the player such as volume, stop, pause, mute etc.
Make sure your computer speakers are on. If the player doesn't load you may be using an older version browser or it
is NOT Java enabled. When you close the player it may ask if you
want to navigate away from the page, the answer is "OK".
Listening problems? If a show plays, but stops at random
before finishing, the most likely cause is an interruption in your Internet
connection. If you don't have high bandwidth and use your computer
for email or surfing web pages while SIMULTANEOUSLY listening to a show
you may get interruptions in the show playback. You are stretching your bandwidth
resources. For best results, dial-up users should avoid over tasking their Internet
connection during show playback.

How to Become a Guest on
GroomerTALK Radio
Since its inception in 1997
PetGroomer.com has increasingly become one of the primary communication
channels in the grooming industry. Each week thousands of groomers
passively review GroomerTALK (message board and chat) at PetGroomer.com,
and a few hundred actively partake in communication features posting and
replying to messages, or chatting. We have broken new ground with
GroomerTALK Radio, the industry’s first talk show for groomers.
Our format is “on demand.” That means we privately record the talk shows
by telephone interview; they are not live. Listeners can choose any
prerecorded program from the archive and listen 24/7/365. It’s entirely
free, and doesn’t require complicated programming. We even provide a free
radio player. Our plan is to store most interviews for years to come
creating one of the most unique libraries in the grooming world.
At present our focus is to give priority interview scheduling to our
sponsors of PetGroomer.com, and then others. Many notable names in the
grooming industry have already come forward and we expect our archive to
become a “Who’s Who” for grooming, And isn’t that great that more groomers
will be listening, sharing and becoming more enlightened?
We have already started advertising GroomerTALK year round in leading
publications and direct mail, and already PetGroomer.com is the most
popular grooming website on the Internet since 1997. Imagine how our
presence can support your promotion of your product, services and career.
PROMOTION
On the first day of GroomerTALK Radio we were overwhelmed with listeners
and had to expand our streaming capabilities. We didn’t even advertise it
then. We expect the demand to continue growing. GroomerTALK Radio could
become one of the most important methods of reaching thousands of groomers
daily and weekly, as we are gearing up for at least 2 new shows a week by
April, and perhaps more.
It’s not all about being interviewed as a method to sell your product or
service. Your general expertise and experience in the grooming industry,
or producing products for groomers, is of great value. Of course, you will
be allowed to promote your goods and services as well.
During your interview you will have opportunities to provide your contact
information including business telephone and/or website to listeners.
Because we archive the shows for a long period of time, be sure to provide
telephone and web addresses that you don’t intend on changing soon.
QUALIFICATIONS
You must be a member of the grooming industry, or a company producing
products and/or services for the grooming industry, such as a manufacturer
or consultant that serves the industry. If you are a member of the pet
industry outside pet grooming but believe you have information of
interest to groomers, please contact us and let's talk about it.
INTERVIEW GUIDELINES
All interviews are scheduled by appointment at a mutually agreed time. We
conduct each interview by telephone. Here are very important guidelines.
• You will be provided with a toll-free number to call-in if you are in
the 50 US states. Otherwise you will need to call our office 360-446-5348.
• Please do not use a cell phone or portable phone. The sound quality and
signal strength may vary and that affects recording quality.
• Quiet! Please arrange for a very quiet space to record your interview.
Please disconnect any nearby telephones, fax machines and similar
equipment. Please, no radio or TV sets should be on in your recording
area. We even suggest you put a sign on the door to discourage any
interruptions. If it helps we will schedule your interview on a weekend
when your office or home may be less busy. In fact, Saturday and Sunday
are preferred.
• After you call in we will test our recording signals based on your
telephone signal, so please allow some prep time.
• Each interview will last about 30 to 45 minutes. Some guests will be
invited for multiple interviews where their experience, product or service
covers a wide range of discussion.
10 to 20 QUESTION OUTLINE FOR INTERVIEW
You know your expertise, product and/or service best. That’s why we ask
that you provide us with a sampling of at least 10 questions you would
like us to ask you during the interview. We will consider each question
you provide, and we do reserve the right to add some additional questions
on our own. However, our goal is not to surprise you. Before your
interview recording begins we will advise you of some of the questions we
have added. By preparing your interview questions we expect that you are
ready to answer them, and this should put many of you more at ease with
the interview process. Please have your questions ready when you request
your interview recording appointment. Regarding questions, some people
have short answers, some very long answers. We try to keep the show to a
minimum of 30 minutes and no longer than 45. If 60 minutes or more, it's
best to create 2 shows. So try answering your questions and timing
yourself to see it you have provided us with enough questions for at least
30 minutes.
SEND IN YOUR VISUAL AIDS
If you have text or photo documents that support your interview, please
send them to us at least a week before your interview. We will make them
available at the GroomerTALK Radio page for our listeners. Email to
findagroomer@earthlink.net.
PROFILE & PHOTO
We ask that you provide a short biography of yourself, about 4 to 8
sentences which we will use to introduce you. We welcome but don’t
require a photo of you.
COPYRIGHT AND OWNERSHIP
By agreeing to appear as a guest on GroomerTALK Radio you agree to the
terms and conditions of the website noted at
www.petgroomer.com/mission.htm. We retain the right to use short
excerpts of your interview in PetGroomer.com promotions or features we
produce and publish at PetGroomer.com or in PetGroomer.com Yellow Pages. All recorded interviews are owned and
copyrighted by Find A Groomer, Inc. No royalties, commissions or payments
are granted by requesting your interview. No fees are paid in return for
any interview. Any visual aids you submit should be owned by you, and if
not, you should have the written agreement of their owner for their use
for the purpose of placing them at PetGroomer.com as part of your
interview. We do reserve the right to refuse or edit interviews and to
terminate them at our discretion where the content does not serve the
mission statement of PetGroomer.com. As circumstances dictate you may
request that a portion of an interview be edited or deleted by making such
a request in writing for our consideration.
REQUESTS FOR INTERVIEW APPOINTMENT: Email
findagroomer@earthlink.net
Voice: 360-446-5348 (US) and please note the instructions above to submit
the “10 to 20 Question Discussion Sheet” and any visual aids which may apply.
